Redcliffe Imaging is a Fine Art Trade Guild Accredited Printer. Only prints by members of the Guild conforming to Guild Standards can use the Guild logo. The Guild sets standards for print publishing in order to protect the interests of the public and maintain confidence in the publishing of fine art.
Artists, publishers and fine art printers are encouraged to promote their high production standards and the integrity of their limited editions by following Guild Standards and should ideally be used in conjunction with BS 7876:1996.
To help you market your limited edition giclee print, we can provide you with our own certificate of authenticity. The certificates are printed on archival paper and left blank to be signed by both the artist and printmaker, it contains information on the artist, the title of the work, the media used and the number and date of the edition.
A Certificate of Authenticity is not only a great marketing tool but also a useful benefit for your purchaser. They carry our signature as the print maker, you add your own information about the image, signature as the artist and the number of the edition. Your buyer will have confidence that their print was made with care and dedication by skilled technicians using the highest quality materials, whose archival properties comply with museum quality standards.
ArtSure is an independent scheme which offers consumers assurance that quality inks and papers have been used to produce a digital print. The scheme also offers traceability of print editions, through a database on the ArtSure section of the Fine Art Trade Guild website.
ArtSure is a valuable marketing tool for both artists and galleries. You can use the ArtSure logo and the registration number for that print edition on Certificates of Authenticity, on your website, in emails to customers and other promotional material so that print buyers can be assured that the prints have been made using high quality inks and paper.
